In testing and investigation of structures the problem arises when there is a need for repair work. Thick reports which usually are a glorified advert for the testing house are not much use unless a solution is given. Typically the usual solution is the classic belt and braces, demolish and rebuild. This is ok for structures built in the late eighties and nineties, but not much use when you get to 1900's structures or even late 1950's structures. Historic or even old buildings require a different approach to their evaluation and repair. |

Structural Concrete, XX is the target 28 day strength but actually it is
the 3 day achievable strength the characteristics of our RASC40 is that
it is self
compacting slump >200mm. Non shrink and very heat durable. Being stronger that most epoxies it is perfect for grouting in tension bolts for the general name for our concretes is RASC XX or Reduced Aggregate Structural Concrete, XX is the target 28 day strength but actually it is the 3 day achievable strength the characteristics of our RASC40 is that it is self compacting slump >200mm. Non shrink and very heat durable. Being stronger that most epoxies it is perfect for grouting in tension bolts for factory machines in hot places. Most epoxies fail or weaken under heat.

| Traditionally concretes get their strengths from the friction bond
between the large aggregates in the concrete matrix. RASC gets its strength
from the chemical bonding of the constituents in the mix.
Typical application is column strengthening the out shell of RASC is usually designed to be of equivalent capacity to the original total section. As the concrete is placed hot the natural contraction adds to the capacity of the composite column. |

and low bleed, i.e. it doesn't separate when poured under water! is perfect
