Integrity Testing Pty. Ltd. is known for testing piles and sub structures, but our other main operations are building diagnostics, bridge testing and pile integrity testing and now pole testing.

Abseiling methods have far improved from the days when we had to lean out a window to Look-See at the exterior of a building.

We use infrared, whole building vibrations to identify defects in structures as well as standard visual methods.

This building is typical of USA construction with central core and load supporting external curtain or outer wall. The deflect high lighted my not be structural, but will affect the lateral stiffness of the structure. Dynamic tests can measure the stiffnesses and strucutral stiffness EI providing quantative engineering numbers evaluating the defects.

Then there is the question how strong is it? You can do a Knock off test as you inspect, but one year or two years later how strong is it.

Apart from visual inspection which there are a lot of practitioners in the market. We apply our shock testing (modified) to the structure. If you can get a measure of the strength of the structure as well as a visual measure.

In any inspection process there is a question of how good is the inspector. If numbers can be put to the visual inspection then the inspection process is of far greater use to the Engineer in charge.

High rise or tall towers call for high quality materials and supervision of the construction process. We have provided a tremendous amount of support for high rise constructions including hands on working.

Problems with moving concrete up high buildings are the problems with preset, airset especially near sea locations and vibration problems. Some the problems can be over come with over dozing. Cooling concrete to slow the setting process down causes more problems than trying to solve perceived transport and pre setting.
