We are now able to analyse transmission poles and piles with a 60 node FE model. Originally we started out with a manual 6 to 12 node model. But as we progress with developement of the test we are able redefine the accuracy of our pole analysis software.  The plots are similar as before but you will notice the pile model has extra points especially in the mid-section.

The load model hasn't changed. There is an extra accuracy but it marginally improves the prediction, but the trade off in calculation time is not worth it at the present time.
The shape model is calculated from thrid order effects. There is about 40 points on this plot, as usual if it isn't there then it won't be measured. We are only ploting the major points. Previously we had a large number of points at both the pile head and toe (top and Butt). We have gained ten points at the mid section, and five extra points spread over the top and the pile head.
No Change here, We have increased the sample by ten fold.  The plot looks the same unfortuneately the conversion to the gif file looses it resolutions.
This plot is the output from the AI part of our analysis programme. Eventually all the analysis for the pole testing will be automatic.  The pile analysis programme will stay manual for the time being.
