We plant between 50,000 to 100,000 trees per annum . We grow all our trees from seed, its labour intensive for a few days then rest then again about three weeks later. then six months after that we plant.

This is the harvesting page, really there not much to it. The eucalyptus tree is quite is quite resilient given that the photos are from three year old stands, which are in their second year of harvesting.

The Harvesting process involves towing a cutter or forager and collection trailer behind a powerful tractor. The tractor rides astride the blue malle, guiding the bush into the forager.

The bush is flayed or cut off at ground level ripped up in the process and blown into the towed storage bin behind.
Not much left after the pass over the bushes !

This is a ground view of what is left after the harvesting.  This type of cutting forces the plant to root propagate and grow bushier in the future.  Depending on the rain fall and Sun light, the bush will be ready for harvesting next year.
One of the main problems in harvesting the eucalyptus is that there is a build up of straw beneath the plants.  This contaminates the oil production and in some cases ruins the crop completely.  This batch was discarded.
